Table sizes
Which table fits your room? Compare the sizes and work out how much space you need.
The sizes
| Size | Playing surface | In inches | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 ft | 193–198 × 97–99 cm | 76–78 × 38–39 in | Pubs and small rooms (“bar box”). |
| 8 ft | 224 × 112 cm | 88 × 44 in | The most common home size. |
| 8 ft pro | 234 × 117 cm | 92 × 46 in | Oversized 8 ft, WPA 8 ft size. |
| 9 ft | 254 × 127 cm | 100 × 50 in | Tournament size (WPA). |
A table’s size is named after its playing surface, not its outside. The rails add roughly 25–35 cm to each dimension, depending on the table.

Does a table fit my room?
Measure the free space where the cue can actually swing: walls, doors, pillars and furniture all count.
Tight spots for a few shots are normal at home. Many players keep one short cue for shots near a wall.
